Changes to Service Access at Pennine Medical Centre

Dear Patients

We are introducing a new way of accessing services at Pennine Medical Centre.

This is being managed via a brand new website called FootFall.  You can still telephone the surgeries in the usual way but you can now also contact us via various forms on the website.

You will no longer need to contact the surgery at 8 am to get a same day appointment.  All telephone calls and forms completed on the website requesting GP appointments will be triaged by a GP and allocated an appointment according to clinical need which may not be the same day.

Benefits include:

  • Quicker access to forms online rather than waiting to get through on the phone (forms available from 7 am every weekday)
  • All doctor appointment requests clinically triaged by a GP
  • Patients who struggle to get through on the phone in a morning will have the same chance as everyone else; no more ‘no appointments left

The link for the website is the same but this page is now a ‘virtual’ surgery with ‘rooms’ that you can click into.  Link ‘Home’ at the top of this page to view the landing page.

All the information from our previous website can be found by clicking ‘Practice Information’ in the left-hand column.

This is new way of working for staff and patients alike.  As with all new systems, there are likely to be some ‘teething troubles’ along the way.  We thank you for your patience while we all learn together.

Kind regards, GP Partners (September 2021)
