From 5 April, Pennine Medical Centre will be phasing out repeat prescription requests made by phone.
Instead, we will be encouraging patients to use the NHS App, which is the safest, quickest and most reliable way to order repeat medications.
Why We Are Making This Change
Phone requests require staff to manually process each prescription, which can lead to:
- Delays in processing
- Increased risk of errors
- Additional pressure on phone lines and administrative time
Using the NHS App provides a more secure and efficient experience for patients by allowing:
- Direct selection of authorised repeat medications
- Requests to be submitted 24/7
- Fewer errors and faster turnaround times
- Improved access for patients who require phone support
What Patients Need to Do
- Use the NHS App to order repeat prescriptions wherever possible
If you are unable to use the NHS App, our team will work with you to find suitable support or an alternative method.
